SAP has four main solution or products that can be used for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related requirements as follows;

· SAP ERP; deployed separately and / or with other SAP Business Suite components such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

· SAP Business All-in-One (A1); typically a pre-configured templated micro-vertical or industry version of SAP ERP (or SAP R/3).

· SAP Business One (B1); an on-premise small business system acquired by SAP from Top Manage in 2002.

· SAP Business ByDesign (BBD), previously referred to as A1S; a new on-demand or software as a service (SaaS) offering in the early stages of market introduction.

Most of SAP’s customers continue to run their SAP R/3 systems, the predecessor to SAP ERP, and many SAP Business All-in-One systems are based on an SAP R/3 platform.
