SAP has recently announced the mandatory transition from Standard and Premium Support to Enterprise Support for its installed customers. Please see the July 2008 SAP Press Release for further details, since then SAP has written to its customers officially informing them of the change.
The transition to a potentially enhanced and more comprehensive level of support represents a 29.4% rise in costs for SAP’s customers, this increase being phased over four years from 2009 to 2012.
